Wiretaps
Despite a personal request from President George Bush not to publish the account, the New York Times has reported on our government's wiretapping of suspected Al Quaeda phones and phone calls. It also reported on the government's spying on mosques. Since its reports, the Times has refused to comment on just why it delayed its reports for a year, why it decided to go public with the reports just as one of its reporters was coming out with a book on the wiretaps, and what transpired leading up to its reporting.
America has not been attacked since 2001, and since the wiretapping began. How do you feel about the wiretaps?
Do you think the person(s) who leaked the story to the NYT should be prosecuted or praised?
